Lecturing in the Amazon
In February Jonathan found himself 1000 miles up the Amazon River, lecturing on ‘Operation Condor’ and the CIA in South America. His other talks included regional military coups and an in-depth look at the prisoners who inhabited the infamous Devil’s Island, the historic French penal colony off French Guiana (made famous by the book and film, Papillon). Taking time off, he was able to explore local native Indian villages as well as joining nightime expeditions to search for Caiman crocodiles.
