Chichester Cathedral

On a glorious Spring day in June 2024, Jonathan was fortunate to be asked to speak at Chichester Cathedral together with Michael and Richard Ashby, sons of the the WWII glider pilot, Robert Ashby. In the Vicars Hall, Jonathan recounted the brave actions of glider pilots, from their hair-raising training to terrifying combat operations. It was a day for tales of airborne endeavor, heightened by the fact that nearby Tangmere airfield was a base for SOE missions into occupied Europe.
